A 27-year-old man was arrested over the weekend on drug and fail to stop charges after fleeing police at high speeds following a roadside drug test.

The man failed a roadside drug test in Kambah on Wednesday (15 January) and subsequently escaped police after he was arrested for the possession of illegal substances.

The drug charges were in relation to a police raid two weeks prior at a house in Banks (3 January), where police located methamphetamine, cannabis and cash. The man was not home at the time.

Police located the car at a hotel in Banks on Saturday night (18 January). The man was found and arrested a short time after.

He is set to face the ACT Magistrates Court today (20 January).
