Man dies after falling from moving vehicle on Anzac Parade

A man has died after falling from a moving vehicle on a major Canberra thoroughfare.

ACT Policing said police and emergency services were called to Anzac Parade at about 2:30 pm on Monday afternoon (9 September) .

“Witnesses indicated that a man fell from a moving vehicle which was travelling southbound on Anzac Parade,” they said in a statement.

Emergency services treated the man at the scene, before he was transported to hospital in a critical condition.

He was declared dead shortly after.

ACT Policing said witnesses are assisting police with their enquiries and they ask any other witnesses to come forward, as well as anyone with dashcam footage.

The incident is being investigated by both ACT Criminal Investigations and the Major Collision Team.
