A 29-year-old man has been arrested for threatening to kill an Australian Federal Police officer.

Following a police investigation, the man was arrested in Belconnen yesterday afternoon.

The man will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (10 October).

Police will allege that on 8 October, the man sent several emails to the ACT Policing member, making threats against the member’s life and the lives of the member’s family.

He was charged with one count of using a carriage service to threaten to kill. Police will oppose bail.
