Meteor/Fireball filmed over Canberra

By ErkzO - 16 August 2013 17

At 9:37pm on Tuesday night (13th Aug 2013), a large meteor fell south of Canberra. Here is the story on NineMSN.

If anyone was a witness to this event, please report it at;

http://thelatestworldwidemeteorreports.blogspot.com.au/

Also if anyone may have access to cctv footage of this event, please send me a pm as this will be crucial to pinpointing its area of landing.

Thanks you for any help!

There has to be intelligent life somewhere out there because there’s bugger all down here…

Haha, touché!

I’m glad to see I’m not the only bitter and twisted cynic out there.

That was my first thought as well!

…and that any people you may meet from time to time are merely the products of a deranged imagination.

I saw this and wondered what it was! I was driving down erindale dr, just about to turn left onto Ashley drive and it looked like it was right above Erindale. Big flash of light, then a shower of sparks. I thought it might have been a flare or something.

cool!

Coincidence? I think not:

They are terraforming. Or terrafarming. Or terrorforming. Or something like that.

I saw this and said to my daughter that it was a shooting star (using the old colloquial term).

She texted me the next day to say that on the news ‘it wasn’t actually a shooting star dad, it was just a small rock’

I seen it while having a smoke out the back yard. I think it would of landed near Royalla .
