Didn’t the ABC get 17.7% of the listeners for breakfast? Wouldn’t that make Dan’s breakfast show the most popular?

Yes, Dan Bourchier’s breakfast program was number 1 on audience share figures at 17.7% ahead of 104 on 16.2 and Mix on 15.6. The quote in the story, which I suspect may have originated from a Canberra FM press release, refers to the cumulative breakfast audience for Ryan and Tanya.

Dan’s Time Spent Listening figure is much higher than Ryan and Tanya’s meaning that although he doesn’t have as many listeners cumulatively, they’re tuning in for much longer periods. This is typical for talk stations.

And I suppose 2CC is dragging the chain at last place again. Interesting how the 2GB shock jocks who win the ratings time after time in Sydney fall completely flat down the Hume in Canberra.

There are a lot of radio reception blackspots in Tuggeranong so we rednecks down here don’t have the opportunity to listed to the 2GB shock jocks on 2CC so we are forced to listen to ABC 666 where we get more opinion than news.

I don’t think the opinion polling people even knows Tuggeranong exists.

2GB or 2CC app on iPhone and Bluetooth speaker.

Thanks John, but I am not ready for or interested in that level of technology.
