Heard about this ‘folk’ thing and wondered what the folk it is?
Always wanted to dip a toe into the folk sea? (This be where we get the current day word from ye auld Englishe: folk sea = folksy). No, actually, I just made that up. And don’t you wish I hadn’t.
Where were we?
We were at the Old Canberra Inn this Wednesday night from 7pm (which is inverted tense, but I’m sure you’ll cope with a sucked thumb, a Bex, a Nick Drake album, and a good lie down).
Stop getting us off track!
MFS holds its monthly club night on the second Wednesday of each month and it’s free, I tells ya, free! (However, while you’re there, you may like to consider joining said society for a very modest annual fee.)
It’s totally blackboard, so whoever turns up and puts their name on the blackboard (it’s really a white board, but we’re an equal opportunity employer at the MFS) is on.
Come along and see what all the folking fuss is about. 7pm, Wednesday 13 February at the Old Canberra Inn, Mouat Street, Lyneham. www.monarofolk.org.au
