Motorcycle Parking at Charnwood Shops

Hello Rioters,

I just want to raise awareness that for the last few months there has been dedicated Motorcycle parking at Charnwood shops.

Problem is that most times that I have gone to use the Motorcycle parking I have been unable to park my Motorcycle in the designated spot due to the inability of car owners to read the 2 signs thats states “MOTORCYCLE PARKING ONLY”.

I realise that the Motorcycle parking spot was once upon a time a normal parking bay for motor vehicles which can add to the confusion, but hopefully I can raise some awareness before someones car door gets kicked in by a disgruntled Motorcyclist or a parking infringment notice is placed on the windscreen.

Really? There’s motorcycle parking in Charny? I always just park near the Chemist side.

Next time you go there, you can always just park horizontally across 2 car parking spaces to get back at them. 🙂

I feel for you Hidiho. I’ve also seen cars parking in the Australia Post designated parking area- metres away from vacant parks. I’m not sure why people are so intent on getting ‘rock star’ parks at this centre. Realistically the whole shopping centre and car park is so compact that you can access any store in less than 30 seconds from where you’ve parked!
