This Sunday, the Flight Centre World Travel Expo will be held at the National Convention Centre in Canberra.

Between 10 am and 4 pm, the free event will feature a suite of exhibitors such as airlines, tour providers and cruise lines offering special deals on local and international travel and adventures.

The exhibition program includes free travel presentations, with advice from travel experts and suppliers throughout the day on topics such as:

  • How to get cheap airfares
  • Flavours of the World
  • Travel more, spend less
  • Luxury and premium touring and cruising
  • Asia and beyond

Singapore Airlines, Canberra’s first international airline operating direct flights from Canberra (September 2016), will have a stand at the expo ready to answer any questions about Singapore Airlines’ flights, fares and travel classes.

“The Flight Centre expo is a twice-yearly event, and all the leading suppliers in travel come together under one roof and offer some pretty incredible deals,” says Hugh Chevrant Breton, Manager ACT for Singapore Airlines.

“We have specials on international flights, so if you’re planning a holiday anytime soon it’s definitely worth attending. Everything can be booked through Flight Centre at the expo on the day.”

Save on international flights

Hugh says the competitively-priced fares on offer at the expo are available across Economy Class, Business Class, and Singapore Airlines’ exclusive Premium Economy Class (or a mix following stopover or for the return flight).

“The Premium Economy Class has become very popular. The cabin offers wider seats, calf and foot rest, and a wider video screen. Passengers also get a 35kg luggage allowance, and access to a ‘Book the Cook’ menu and French champagne throughout the flight.”

Special fares are available across South East Asia, Singapore, North Asia, Europe, India sub continent, South Africa and the USA.

$1 twin-share Singapore stopover

With direct flights to Singapore leaving daily from Canberra International Airport, Singapore Airlines is offering the ultimate Singapore stopover for two people travelling from Australia to the UK, Europe, South Africa, South East Asia and America.

“The promotion is valid for travel between 16 October 2018 and 12 September 2019,” says Hugh. “It includes one night hotel accommodation (twin share only) at a participating hotel, unlimited rides on the SIA hop-on-hop-off bus, and discounts on shopping, dining and car rentals with SIA’s Boarding Pass Privileges program for just $1 per person.

“It’s also available across Economy Class, Premium Economy Class, and Business Class – with hotels such as Hotel Royal, Hotel Grand Central, and the Carlton Hotel as the accommodation provider depending on which flight class you book.

“Singapore Airlines and Changi Airport Group are also still offering a complimentary SIN$20 voucher for any passenger travelling from Australia to another destination in the Singapore Airlines/Silkair network. They can be picked up from the iShopChangi collection centre and redeemed when purchasing food, duty-free items, and lounge access. A family of four is entitled to four vouchers totalling SIN$80.”

More information about the stopover special will be available at the Singapore Airlines’ stand at the Flight Centre expo.

The Flight Centre World Travel Expo is this Sunday October 21 from 10 am – 4 pm at the National Convention Centre.
