The NSFA are now taking applications to be a part of their artist and/or scholar in residence for 2014.

It’s a pretty amazing opportunity so if you work with film get to it.

Are you an academic, an artist, a performer or a professional working in the audiovisual area? The National Film and Sound Archive of Australia (NFSA) invites proposals from people who wish to conduct research into the national audiovisual collection.

The NFSA Research fellowships offer:
— Facilitated access to the national collection of nearly two million items
— Close collaboration with NFSA curatorial and technical experts
— Access to the specialised research library
— Self-maintained accommodation in the NFSA Residence for fellows not normally based in Canberra
— A well equipped work space with auditioning equipment
— Free entry to Arc Cinema and other NFSA events

Applications close at midnight on Sunday 1 September 2013.
