If we can get rid of Jeffereys’s reactionary, self indulgent 7AM editorials as well as his penchant for repeating over and over the monorail sketch from The Simpsons and his closer of an annoying voice saying “that’s it, nothing to see here” then all I can say is “come on down, Parto!”.

Is it just me, or is he a grotesque, ego-driven caricature of ‘smashy and nicey’ style grumpy-old-right-wing-yet-still-trying-to-make-out-he’s-down-with-tha-kidz style DJs?

Zanzibar01 had previously hit me as a Parton enthusiast, not Parton himself, but now I am less sure.

Yes it’s true.

Yes it’s true….I just couldn’t stay away from the radio. I’m back at Capital Radio. This morning I signed with 2CC/2CA and was I was introduced to the rest of the staff just after 9am.

It was so cool to be actually driving to work this morning. I haven’t done that since June.

There a number of promotional/sales related things set up for me to get my teeth into first up. Before too long I’ll be doing some fill in shifts on both stations and doing whatever is required to earn my keep.

I had a number of job offers to consider but eventually I decided to go with what I know the best. Looking forward to making a splash back on the AM Band.

Jeffreys hasn’t been boned – but Parton has joined Capital Radio

Yeah, I thought I heard Jeffreys briefly, but was only listening for a second in the car and wasn’t paying that much attention. Maybe my friend heard it third hand. I know there was a thread on here recently, so maybe they were just hypothesising…

Can’t say I listen to much of 2CC or 2CA, purely because am sounds sound ordinary. And not allowed to listen to radio at work. Damm open plan offices…
