Canberra erupts occasionally in ways that nobody can quite believe. This week on the Hoot, David Murtagh and Genevieve Jacobs examine what happened when the Green Shed lost its recycling tender.

It was an epic meltdown – even by Canberra standards. But why?

The US is melting down over plans to ban TikTok – or at least demand it is divested by its Chinese government-sponsored owners. Why are the Americans so worried? Is there a difference between China’s social media and ours? Will ByteDance sell, or is the clock running out on TikTok? Or are all platforms just as bad as each other?
