Police call for witnesses to aggravated robbery in Kaleen

Police are calling for witnesses to an aggravated robbery at the Kaleen Shopping Centre on Sunday evening (24 February) where two men armed with weapons stole cash and cigarettes.

Around 5:24 pm, two men with their faces covered armed with weapons entered the BWS store on Georgina Crescent. The men allegedly threatened staff, before leaving on foot with an amount of cash and cigarettes.

They were last seen running across Georgina Crescent towards Staaten Crescent.

Both men are described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 183cm (6’) tall, with thin to average builds and 20-30 years of age. They were both described as wearing dark hooded tops and face coverings.

Members of the public who witnessed the incident, or who have CCTV footage or dash cam footage of any suspicious activity near the Kaleen Shopping Centre about the time of the incident, are urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
