Police Wrap – 21 July

By johnboy - 21 July 2008 10

The following notices from our friends in blue.

    1. A 31 year old has been arrested in Kingston after what sounds like a fairly major alleged armed robbery in Griffith.

Police will allege the male was one of three offenders responsible for staff being locked in a security compound whilst cash and cigarettes were stolen from the business premises.

UPDATE: The ABC has more on this, interesting inside job it would appear.

    2. A carer from Calwell is in a world of trouble:

ACT Policing has arrested a 47-year-old man after an act of indecency on a 35-year-old, wheelchair-bound woman in her Hughes home. The offence is alleged to have occurred around 11pm on Saturday (July 11) whilst the man was providing care for the victim. The offence was reported to the man’s supervisors the following morning who reported the matter to police.

    3. And did someone get confused about Limestone Lizzie?

“The female victim has told police she was walking along Limestone Avenue near Allambie Street around 9.45am, when she was grabbed from behind by an unknown male on a pushbike. The victim managed to break free from the offender’s grasp and call police. She was not injured during the incident. The offender is described as in his 20s, approximately 185cm (6’1”) tall, slim but muscular build with a long mousy / dark blond goatee beard. He was dressed in black-coloured clothing including a black-coloured hood over his head.

More to come when the media unit sort out their duff hyperlinks.

And we’ll wait for the courts to decide.

There was either an armed robbery or there wasn’t. No allegedly about it.

She used to have an excellent website.. well, it was ABOUT her. But someone made them take it down.

I live in Weston Creek, and minutes from the Kambah Tavern. How hard do you think skanks are to find?

oh, come now, why wouldn’t you just go to the labor club?

leave the kambah skanks to those in kambah.

Re: Limestone Lily – I have no idea where’s she went. I live around there and I haven’t seen her for at least two years. Sad, really.
Meanwhile, has anyone seen the goats that occasionally graze on Limestone Ave? Again, I haven’t seen them for a while.

I just ask as she’s gone from being Canberra’s own iconic wretched creature (as institutional town bike meets Gollum) to a thing of mystery and of legend, now that nobody has seen her for a while.
The doctor nearest ADFA & RMC have probably noticed a drop-off in referrals, too.

Give me $200 and I’ll see if I can arrange a skank for ya skid.

While we’re on the topic of Limestone Lizzie, is she actually dead?
Has she been replaced by someone equally as manky?

Ummm … how? Exactly? It all sounds rather awkward to me …
