- 1. A 31 year old has been arrested in Kingston after what sounds like a fairly major alleged armed robbery in Griffith.
Police will allege the male was one of three offenders responsible for staff being locked in a security compound whilst cash and cigarettes were stolen from the business premises.
UPDATE: The ABC has more on this, interesting inside job it would appear.
2. A carer from Calwell is in a world of trouble:
ACT Policing has arrested a 47-year-old man after an act of indecency on a 35-year-old, wheelchair-bound woman in her Hughes home. The offence is alleged to have occurred around 11pm on Saturday (July 11) whilst the man was providing care for the victim. The offence was reported to the man’s supervisors the following morning who reported the matter to police.
3. And did someone get confused about Limestone Lizzie?
“The female victim has told police she was walking along Limestone Avenue near Allambie Street around 9.45am, when she was grabbed from behind by an unknown male on a pushbike. The victim managed to break free from the offender’s grasp and call police. She was not injured during the incident. The offender is described as in his 20s, approximately 185cm (6’1”) tall, slim but muscular build with a long mousy / dark blond goatee beard. He was dressed in black-coloured clothing including a black-coloured hood over his head.
