Approximately $120,000 worth of seafood was stolen from a business in Fyshwick on Saturday night, police say.

The police believe the burglary of the Leeton Street building happened between 11pm Saturday and 12.30am Sunday. The thieves also stole a refrigerated truck in which they transported the seafood.

Now $120,000 worth of fish, prawns, calamari and the like is an awful lot of food and it would have to be disposed of fairly promptly. So if you are invited to a massive seafood party in the next few days or are offered some in a deal that smells a bit (ahem) fishy, then contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Do the tag lines under the RIOTAct image generate the same as the google ads? I just noticed that the one showing at the moment is …

“YOU CAN’T SAVE A FISH THAT DOESN’T WANT TO BE SAVED…” – Teejmahal.com “
