Rebel Muse, celebrates its “Birthday Month” by giving back. Kicking off the celebrations is a charity evening on April 5th to raise funds for Send Hope Not Flowers, and an event every week throughout the rest of April with exclusive offers and prizes. With this premier women’s fashion boutique turning 3 this month and its founder Alicia Xyrakis turning 30, there’s much cause for these celebrations.
“Rebel Muse Sends Hope” is a charity shopping night where $5 from every item sold will be donated to Send Hope Not Flowers, providing safe birthing to women in the developing world. “Rebel Muse Sends Hope” is on Thursday 5th of April, 6pm-9pm at Rebel Muse (30 Lonsdale Street Braddon). The glamorous night will have live music, drinks, grazing table, raffle prizes and a talk from Send Hope’s own Emma MacDonald. About every two minutes, a woman dies from complications in childbirth. Send Hope Not Flowers aims to help mothers survive childbirth in the developing world through funding training for doctors, nurses and midwives, purchasing obstetric equipment and basic supplies, delivering baby packs and helping mothers access supervised deliveries.
Committed to supporting women from all walks of life. With the help of online platform i=Change, Rebel Muse is able to donate $1 from every sale made on their online store to a charity that supports women. Rebel Muse continues to donate to Send Hope Not flowers through the i=Change platform as well as to the Asylum Seekers Resource Centre – providing shelter to those seeking asylum and UN Women – Helping put an end to domestic violence in Papua New Guinea.
