Has anyone had any experience with getting an asbestos roof replaced? It is on a 3 bedroom ex-govie replaced (1960s house with corrugated sheet roof: it has gone rather fibrous with age), to be replaced e.g. with colourbond metal.
There have been some posts about asbestos removal on this site (and there is an ACT government website with some information).
Australasian Technical Services had some trouble removing asbestos roofing at the Pickles auction warehouse in Fyshwick according to this story.
Other people have discussed removing asbestos from a garage: and general removal.
I would appreciate any feedback on people to use or avoid, and a ballpark idea of the costs.
