The Shaking Hand is gearing up for a busy first week of June. Weekly band night Shake Appeal will see Signs & Symbols, Omens and Sonic Deathray piling into the underground venue on Thursday before post-punk outfit Dust and local indie-funk band Muesli head up their own shows across the weekend.

University-core trailblazers The Jungle Giants will be hitting UC Refectory on Friday night as part of their ‘Trippin Up’ tour. Support will come from psych-rockers The Lazy Eyes and New Zealand-born artist AROHA.

GQ Global Icon and ex-gladiator Russell Crowe is currently out on tour with his Indoor Garden Party. You’ll be able to catch the all-star band and a string of special guests at The Playhouse on Tuesday evening.
