The Mount Ainslie Music Club is gearing up for their end-of-year showcase this week. The music collective will draw on a shared improvisational language developed in regular monthly meetings for a special Saturday evening performance at Ainslie Arts Centre.
Canberra’s own sparkly punks Glitoris are returning to the stage this weekend with a hometown show alongside Bad Lunar. Expect to hear new and classic material at Transit Bar on Saturday night.
Elsewhere, violinist-producer Ally Hocking Howe will launch her debut EP, The Feather Came First, at Gang Gang on Thursday, and indie-funk five-piece Muesli will host a Holiday House Party alongside The Decideds at Smith’s Alternative on Friday.
