One of the things I like to do is go on road trips. I like to get in the car and just head out of Canberra, especially on week ends. I often end up doing that on my own as most of my friends are now married and have kids. Kids don’t like being cooped up in cars.
As I was driving back from the coast last week end, I stopped in Braidwood and saw a whole pile of motorcyclists, who were all obviously out for a ride together. Not the bikie gang sort, more the semi retired grand parents sort. I figured if there are groups that go on organised motorbike rides, perhaps there are similar clubs for people who like road tripping? So far I’ve found clubs for owners of particular car makes like the Holden, Ford or Mazda clubs and some four wheel drive clubs. But I have not yet found a just any car casual week end drives sort of club.
Is anyone aware of such a club or group? Is there one where both drivers and passengers can get together to do road trips? I’m also into photography so perhaps there is a photography group that does road trips? Or perhaps I should organise one? It could be an informal Facebook thing. Would there be any interest in such a club/ group?
