Roof rebedding & repointing

Had our roof in Kambah repointed by Becker & Pestrucci (0408 128 961, sharonpestrucci@bigpond.com). The people who built the house didn’t do a very good job. No mortar between the ridge tiles (so we had leaking in strong horizontal winds) and the ridge cap mortar had been applied in winter and had frozen not setting correctly. Took a couple of days and was very happy with the repairers. I think it was about $3,000. They used a white mortar undercoat, which might have created problems if it had rained (but it didn’t)!

Had a house and detached garage done by these guys about 3 years ago: http://lookuproof.com.au/ . Good price, done with minimal hassle, and all still looking fine… honestly I think it’s hard to mess up the job these days with modern mortars.

A word of warning. I also had the job quoted by ReACT Roofing and found they had borderline intimidating sales tactics. Quoted the job on the spot but then said I had to sign up to it right then and there if I wanted them to do it. They would also not give me anything in writing unless I accepted the job, and wanted to charge some crazy price (hundreds of dollars) just for a copy of the quote.
