ACT Policing is searching for witnesses who may be able to help their investigation into a serious collision on Good Friday.
It’s believed a man was hit by a car on Adelaide Avenue on Friday, 29 March, after being dropped off in front of The Lodge at about 4:17 am.
The man was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
Investigators are now hoping to speak with three people who could help piece together what happened.
Two of the people are believed to have organised an Uber ride for the man at around 4:08 that morning (before the crash, which was at 5:46 am).
The third person handed some of his belongings to the City Police Station at 4:50 the same morning.
“It is believed these people may have crucial information that can assist ACT Policing’s Major Collision Team who are investigating a serious collision,” an ACT Policing statement said.
“Police would ask these three people to contact police on 131 444 or to visit their nearest police station.”
It’s believed the man had been dropped off at The Lodge by a rideshare vehicle.
Anyone else who witnessed the incident, or who may have dash-cam footage from the area at the time of or around the time of the incident, has been urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, quoting reference number 7711483.
