In one 2km stretch of the Monaro Highway, I counted no fewer than three separate car accidents around 8-8:30am, with the traffic in absolute bedlam as a result. A three car pile up behind Richardson was followed by several Police vehicles and a car off the road at the Rose Cottage Roundabout. Finally more Police and ACTEW working 700m down from that near Hume to fix a street light knocked down with auto glass strewn all over the road.
Whether its the RTA wiggling a little finger at you or Vic Roads showing the families of road trauma victims left behind in grief, it’s a common enough message yet obviously isn’t getting through to people.
