Firefighters are investigating a smell of gas in a building on Moore Street in the City.

Workers have been evacuated as precaution while HAZMAT crews conduct a sweep pf the nine storey building.
A smell of gas was reported on four levels.
ACT Fire & Rescue have three pumpers, the Hazardous Materials Unit, Breathing Apparatus Van, Bronto Skylift Hydraulic Platform and a commander on site.
The ACT Ambulance Service are on scene but have not treated any patients.

Staff have been allowed to return to the Moore Street building following firefighter investigations into reports of a strong smell of fumes at the site.
Nearly two hundred people were evacuated.
ACT Fire & Rescue said after extensive air monitoring on all levels, no gas could be detected.
Crews were first alerted to the incident by an Emergency Triple Zero (000) call at 10:49am.
