Three Canberra clubs have been targeted by burglars using cars stolen while their owners were asleep.

Early Wednesday morning (29 March), two homes in the Ngunnawal and Fisher areas were robbed after unknown offenders gained access through unsecured doors.

Wallets, handbags and car keys were taken, with a black Audi A3 stolen from the Ngunnawal home and a maroon Honda Odyssey stolen from the Fisher home.

Soon after, police said the Audi A3 was used in burglaries at the Weston Creek Labor Club and the Ginninderra Labor Club.

The stolen Honda Odyssey was rammed into the front of the Burns Club, where offenders allegedly threatened an employee.

Police have called for any dashcam footage of either vehicle between 3 am and 7 am on Wednesday morning or any information about where these vehicles are now.

Homeowners have also been urged to ensure their properties are always properly secured.

“Offenders are seeking out homes that are easy to gain access to in order to steal vehicles and other items such as phones, wallets and handbags. These vehicles are then being used to commit other more serious crimes,” an ACT Policing statement said.

Anyone with information that can assist police is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, quoting 7390409.
