Stolen Teddy Bear

Sorry to disturb people, and this is my first post, but my girlfriends daughter had her sleepover bag stolen from the fenced off (but able to be see into) front court yard of her house (it was left there by her Gran) and in the bag was her favorite teddy bear and blanket she has had since she was born.

If anyone is walking in the area near Belco markets and the immediate streets (towards Civic) and see a small light brown/ cream teddy that rattles and a small light green blanket could they please drop it into the Belco Police station or let me know through here and I will pick it up when I get back to Australia.

Its not a big issue to a lot of people, but to a small girl the teddy was more valuable than anything else she owned.

Thanks

this should be a lessone to me. i better start buying a spare to my kid’s fave toy just in case. sorry this happened to your child.

A good solution is to find a similar, but slightly larger version and have a relative/friend from out of town ‘return’ the toy. The story is that the toy went on holiday for a long time, got cleaned up and even grew some! If the relative/friend is very obliging, they may even send a postcard from the toy a day or two before said toy’s return.

Worked a real treat.

I’m sorry I don’t get the 124 suspects thing. All I know is I am currently deployed overseas and my girl and her daughter are having a hard time of it because of some low life.

Makes it difficult to lend support when your away.

Surely there are only 124 suspects?

well its a weak, weak person who would steal a kid’s teddy bear. but having said that, take her to toys r’ us or kmart to pick out a new bear and all will be well. kids feel things keenly but they are also easily distracted 😛

You don’t have kids, do you

Oh dear, Troutfisher, I hope you find those precious objects.

You may want to check the neighbours bins (those ones that are on display and close to the road) and the dumpsters around the Belco markets. Good luck.

I so feel for you all. I can remember many a night searching for ‘dog’. My child wouldn’t settle until it was clutched in her hand and even now, at 19, she still has fond memories of it.
