4:05pm Thursday 6 January 2011 – Hazard reduction burn tonight The ACT Rural Fire Service Rivers Brigade will be conducting a hazard reduction burn tonight, Thursday 6 January 2011 weather permitting.
The burn at the Rivers Brigade fire shed on Cotter Road, Stromlo is scheduled to commence from 6.30pm until 10pm.
Three tankers, one light unit and 20 personnel will conduct the burn.
The burn is to remove accumulated fuel as well as a training exercise and will be approximately two hectares in size.
The ACT Handy Map grid reference point for the burn is I12.
