Want to make an enduring contribution to the future?

Mayor Rattenbury is inviting you to come plant trees with other people this Sunday:

Minister for Territory and Municipal Services, Shane Rattenbury, is calling on all nature enthusiasts to join him and members of Friends of Mount Majura, Watson Woodland ParkCare and the ACT Conservation Council for a National Tree Day planting event at Mount Majura this Sunday.

“We want as many hands on deck as possible to help rejuvenate the natural landscape of Mount Majura,” Mr Rattenbury said.

“Everyone who participates in the planting event will leave knowing they have made positive difference to the health of the nature reserve and given back to their community.

Come along wearing a long sleeved shirt and pants, sturdy shoes and sunscreen. Please bring gloves and a bucket if you have them, otherwise all equipment will be provided.

The meetup is at 1pm near the intersection of Tay and Ian Nichol streets in north Watson.
