Supermarket staff robbed at knifepoint

ACT Policing are seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery at the Swinger Hill shops over the weekend.

At about 10:50 am on Saturday (28 August), a man entered the IGA X-press store in Swinger Hill and allegedly threatened staff with a knife before demanding money.

Staff complied and provided the man with a sum of cash before he ran from the store.

Police believe he left the area in a maroon-coloured sedan with yellow NSW registration plates and a red ‘P’ plate displayed.

The man was described as Caucasian in appearance, medium build and approximately 185 cm (6’1”) tall. He was wearing navy blue work style pants, a green jacket with a yellow high visibility shirt underneath, black and white sneakers, a black beanie and a blue medical mask.
