The ACT Rural Fire Service has extinguished a large grass fire south of Tharwa this afternoon.
The ACTRFS was alerted to the fire near the Cupacumbalong Woolshed on Nass Road just after 3:30pm.
A total of five fire units responded to the scene and extinguished the blaze which is believed to have started from a private landholder hazard reduction burn nearby.
Crews are currently mopping up.
