The bear suicides

bear suicide

It seems the tragedy of the Pooh Corner landslide is having an impact throughout the teddy bear community.

Having already read about the Narrabundah Bear, I almost drove right past this unfortunate bear, who, obviously in a drunken stupor, had attempted to throw himself into the traffic on Sternberg Crescent in Wanniassa.

He is currently being nursed back to health by the three little Trevars.

If his family would like him back, they can email and I will return him to his primary carer.

[ED – Aren’t you all glad to have a bear story that doesn’t involve Peter Slipper? Got an image of Canberra you want to share with the world? Email it in to ]

Gives us all paws for thought.

Poetix, maybe your GPS just wanted to spend a bit of time on the road less travelled. Have you ever thought how much you expect of it? How much you cramp its style? Always going where YOU want, at the speed you want to go. Never a thought for where your GPS might want to go. You’ve been ignoring its positioning needs. I bet it’s just full of longing to explore part of its map that you’ll never take it to. So, just once a month, unshackle your GPS and let it take you round the world. (Or up the garden path.)

With all those sticks behind him, it looks like someone just tried to have a bear-be-que.

(You try driving four and a half hours to get back from the coast, including half an hour up a fire-trail that your GPS told you to take, and see what you come up with.)
