Simon Corbell has heralded the tabling of Variation 307 in the Legislative Assembly which will let the Brumbies turn their Griffith HQ into lots of lucrative apartments:
Variation 307 rezones the site from current commercial CZ6 leisure and accommodation zoning to the RZ4 medium density residential zone.
“Variation 307 has been subject to detailed scrutiny both by the ACT Planning and Land Authority (ACTPLA) and the Legislative Assembly Standing Committee for Planning, Public Works and Territory and Municipal Services,” Mr Corbell said.
“This Legislative Assembly’s Committee Report unanimously recommended Variation 307 should proceed subject to a number of additional requirements which were outlined in the Committees recommendations to protect the landscape amenity of the site,” he said.
“The Government has agreed to all of the recommendations made by the Legislative Assembly Committee either in full or in principle and made the appropriate changes to the final Variation.”
