What: CANBERRA – The Canberra City Band play for all at Floriade 2010.

Where: Floriade – Commonwealth Park Gardens

The Canberra City Band, after taking out 1st place for the second time in 2 years in the Australian National Eisteddfod, will be performing on Saturday 9 October at Floriade for all to enjoy.

The performance will be from 10:00am-12:00pm in the Commonwealth Park Gardens.

Under the direction of Musical Director Major Geoff Grey of the RMC, the Canberra City Band has been increasing it’s musical library with many new tunes including The Tahiti Trot and That Old Hound Dog Rag.

Previously the Band has played a much earlier time slot but this year patrons will be able to bring their picnic blankets and lunch to enjoy a fun mid morning concert with some great new classic tunes.
