The Domino’s Car Surfers

johnboy 12 February 2009 103

[First filed: February 11, 2009 @ 09:56]

In the recent disussion on Southside Domino’s Pizza FeNc3y made a comment which caught my attention:

I’ve refused to use any Domino’s since I took photo’s of one of their drivers in uniform, letting his mates “car surf” on the roof of a Dominos vehicle at Pine Island.

I reported it to Domino’s and had no reply – they didn’t even want to see the pics.

But I thought we might like to see the pics and FeNc3y has kindly sent them in.

UPDATE: The EXIF data in the original photos suggests they were taken at 3.35pm on 18 January 2009.

Yeah, but given the larger public are so often ridiculed by TT/ACA do they actually watch? And, as mentioned earlier, are they large from eating too much Dominos?

Hey, i think both those programs are horrid tripe full of swines not fit to call themselves reporters, but they do sometimes serve a purpose. If no one is going to take responsibility or do something about these morons i think the larger public should know about it.

if the police or dominoes are interested in this, then iam sure tt or aca would be.

And at the mention of those two programs I just……. realised that I may require their assistance with some PR at some stage and will now shut up jam that comment back down my throat…

Off topic: there are damn good reasons for NOT having an edit function, and I think that if you go do a search on that you might find some discssion on that. I’m not interested enough to look myself!

Doesn’t excuse the moderate…. editor’s……. oh, whatever.

Now, I took Skid’s link and posted a feedback to Domino’s asking them to respond to me by email. So when the phone range for the 87th time yesterday and it was Domino’s PR or Oddnadatta store responding to my feedback, I politely invite them to read my feedback form and respond appropriately. Haven’t checked that account today but as of late last night/early this morning: nuttin’.

You’d be surprised, Peter. I engaged their staff on a local matter on a non-pizza-related issue about their store’s communication/interface with the public (Dickson if I recall properly) and they were quite interested, conducive to listening and passing on the message.

Can’t recall if I ever checked out whether they’d resolved it or not. I tend to avoid the mass-produced pizzas these days in favour of the cafe/restaurant/bistro versions. This chicken one I’ve just polished off was potentially great (though it should have had ‘pineapple’ somewhere in the slightly misleading title. There’s a mound of pineapple now piled up on an otherwise empty plate).

as if the canberra locals would call you back… the call probably got pushed to the only store not busy… oodnadatta is like that. amazed that you spelt it wrong. even when there isn’t a domino’s out there.

It is unAustralain to bludge of others like sitting in hospital for being a dickhead and then a disability pension when this money could actually help the real needy.

You mean like Dexi?

I avoid buying Domino’s pizza at all costs. I don’t want to see my $$ go into the pockets of Domino’s founder, a strong right-wing Catholic by the name of Tom Monaghan, whose views have much in common with Mel Gibson’s loopy father.

Are football injuries unAstralian?

Bludging. Clowning around. Sponging welfare cash. How much more Australian can you get, haha.

Johnboy, my asking for an edit function had a much better reason than this and you went ballistic!

I demand vengeance! I want vengeance!

It is unaustralian to dob someone in but

when the knumb nuts on the roof does his swan dive onto the ground an gets a trip to hospital and a bed, this idiot will take the bed from someone who may actually need it and then we pay for his recovery for being a complete dickhead.

Given the quality of their product, I don’t think Domino’s gives a toss about their reputation at all…

hahahahahahahah!

Sorry,

Not that these kids working for Domino’s give a toss about the reputation of their employer.

Deckard Deckard 11:16 pm 11 Feb 09

I can’t believe that some people in company cars, or worse – small business operators advertising their business on their work vehicle, drive around like idiots.

Don’t they realise that every person they cut off, pull out in front of, hold up, or go speeding past is likely to be one less customer that might use their services.

I’m sure management at National and ACT level are all ears now (as per #4)… These shots will go very nicely in any OH&S presentation… (as will the story that unfolds over the next few days). Welcome to “citizen-policing” Domino’s…

Well done on posting/supplying these FeNc3y…

From the time I spent at Domino’s, I believe it is normally more “senior” (as in rank) members that get to drive the mobile billboards… pleb drivers use their own cars (sometimes with extra pay for the rooftop signs).
