Canberra Opera Workshop will be performing it’s second opera production – Mozart’s Magic Flute – from 13 to 22 July.
The cast has been assembled from graduate singers and students of classical voice based in Canberra. The production is accompanied by a chamber orchestra conducted by Jennifer Groom, and located in Lyneham High School’s new, state-of-the-art performing arts centre.
The Magic Flute is one of the most popular and beloved works in the operatic repertoire. It’s a great opera to see for those new to opera, and is also quite entertaining for children. The production is styled as an ‘Arabian fantasy’, and features larger than life characters, dancers and puppets .
