Swoon-pop folkie Swoon Queen has been playing around town for at least half a decade, playing her raw, heartfelt tunes over all sorts of Canberra stages. Check out her Bandcamp page here. She will be opening the show on Valentine’s Day at The Phoenix, playing with Slagatha Christie and Marlon Bando from 8 pm.

More shows for the lovebirds out there on Valentine’s Day: Taswegian Claire Anne Taylor will be launching a whole new album at Polish White Eagle Club from 7 pm, while at Transit Bar British punk band Muncie Girls will be playing CBR with Ben David, Lazy Susans and Plastic Plants from 8 pm.

There are plenty of shows on this weekend while of course, the Multicultural Festival is on, with a stack of all sorts of music happening in town. Meanwhile on Saturday, Hashemoto and The Cashews will be playing at Smith’s from 1 pm, Weirdogvng will be playing with Eloria and Cryler Burden at Hecktik Electric at the Polo, and on the Rond Terraces near Anzac Parade Happy Axe and Reuben Ingall will be playing what will be a brilliant show with Kota Yamauchi from 7 pm.
