This is Palace Revolution, who will be releasing their new EP ‘Kingdom’ this Friday at Transit Bar from 8 pm. They will be playing with Sally Chicane, Chasing Nimbus and Naked Scientist, so make sure to check out their proggy, metally roaring tunes and keep an eye out for their EP on iTunes, Google Play, Spotify and other platforms! Here is a little taster of the EP.
The Whitlams will be performing THREE TIMES this weekend, to celebrate 25 years of the band starting up and releasing tunes that have defined the Australian alt-rock landscape. Check them out at The Street Theatre at 8 pm from Thursday to Saturday. For something more local, Lefty and All In A Year will be hosting a huge show at Transit Bar on Thursday from 8 pm, with Elk Locker, Silver Lining (who will be playing their last ever show) and Lady Denman.
Another big show this Friday is on at The Basement where Australian Kingswood Factory will be playing as part of their “Bloodshot and Shakin'” tour, with one of my all-time favourite hard rock CBR bands Johnny Roadkill opening, as well as The Culture Industry, Sewer Sideshow and Cockbelch. There is a grabbag of great shows on Saturday as well, with Grizzlee Train and The Barren Spinsters at Smith’s Alternative, The Gypsy Scholars at The Phoenix and Hello Bones with Signs & Symbols and Hopeless Youth Group at Transit.
