The UC Vice Chancellor’s blog has a thrilling invitation to industry to help fill in the campus.
It’s a speech heavy on ungainly metaphors. One has to wonder why medieval cathedral towns would be the inspiration for the UC of the future and not, perhaps, medieval universities? (And I’m pretty sure “cloud” is used to mean “internet”).
But the first par covers what it’s all about:
The University has released a new development prospectus inviting expressions of interest from like-minded organisations that wish to partner with us to develop areas of the campus.

Available land on campus is suitable for a range of uses, including, but not limited to, opportunities associated with our health and sport precincts which are currently underway.
