Having run out of ways to use ActewAGL to shovel your money at people beloved of the ACT Government, the University of Canberra has of late been offering jobs to all sorts of high profile people.
The Brumbies have the word that the latest is coach Jake White:
Jake White has been recognised as an Adjunct Professor by the University of Canberra, with the Brumbies Principal Partner keen to use his expert rugby knowledge for the betterment of their institution.
Having started his career as a teacher and guided countless young players in their professional lives since as a coach, White makes a good fit for UC as they look to make a big impact on the Australian sporting scene.
White’s involvement will boost UC’s ability to provide up-to-date information on professional sports around the world. His contribution to the Faculty will include offering his services as a visiting lecturer, course/unit development of sport coaching and leadership/management units, technical expertise with regard to sport hub design and operations, networking within the Rugby community, and the recruitment of international students for UC.
It’s a curious way to run a polity, but if it keeps Jake happy here in Canberra some good comes of it!
