Valentino Impotent

I knew I should have gone and had a sitting with the Fringe Festival’s Esmerelda the Clairvoyant outside the Canberra Theatre this evening. I’m sure she would have forewarned me of the dangers of flirting with Valentino.

What a shocker!

The direction was non existant, the plot well disguised, the canned music lack-lustre and the only part that kept me interested was guessing when Normie Rowe was going to forget his next line, but I even got bored with this, as it was a frequent occurence!

To be fair the dancers worked hard but there was very little substance to hold the show together. And a tip for the lighting guys…put the spot where the actor is, not where he’s just been!

The show moves on to Newcastle, Wollongong Sydney and Melbourne next but I fail to see it seducing any audience.

2/10.

I thought that Braggs overrated this show. The singers and dancers performed as if they knew it was the dud it was.

When the Canberra Theatre kept sending out perky reminders and then discount tickets I assumed there was a message and the message was “Avoid this show”.

Thanks for the confirmation, Braggs!

So u rekon it waz shite? Go figure.

Awww don’t knock Normie Rowe, he’s my 5th cousin!! He may be a has been but at least he tried to punch Ron casey out.
