Would you like to know more about visual design for creating a visual research output, like a poster or presentation? Would you like to improve your visual communication skills or learn more about how to approach visual design? The Visual Design for Researchers workshop aims to help you get started with the visual design process for your research. Including:
1. Aesthetic Literacy and Creative Capacity
Viveka Turnbull Hocking will show you how you can improve your visual language and creative skills as a do-it-yourself process and create your own visual research outputs.
2. Information Graphics
Ceridwen Fraser will take you through the good, the bad and the ugly of scientific figures. Learn how to communicate complex data in visually-engaging ways, and avoid common mistakes.
3. Information Sheets and Newsletters
