esky material

A friend building a new bar on Garema Place sent in this tip which may be of use to one of you.

We just had a cool room installed at the pub to keep max beer super cold ay!

There are some panels that the installers were going to throw out. I tried to explain to them there are no pubs on a dead planet but they did not get it…..

The pannels measure around 2400 x 650 and 1000 x 1200 there is another that is a bit smaller.

They are 10mm thick cool room panels, styrofoam sandwiched between two aluminium sheets. Real industrial s***.

They would be perfect to make super hardkore esky box thingo to store max beer.

with the addition of some aluminium or similar angle, some silicone and a genius. Mount your super massive esky on a freak bike and you will look like a mega pimp.

I would be keen to make but the reality is I have no time and don’t want to see em hit a land fill.

If any one is keen they are in bible lane behind our shop free to a good home.

There’s an article in the spring edition of In The City Canberra which came in Canberra Times this week. The article describes it as a European piazza style beer garden and says that it’s due to open at the end of Sept. Sounds pretty cool!

Great to see some community-mindedness about! Kudos.

Lounge is my understanding, but we’ll have more when it gets closer to opening.
