WATCH: Police call for witnesses to alleged group assault that left man hospitalised

Police have released footage of an alleged group attack at a house party and have called for witnesses to come forward.

An ACT Policing spokesperson said the alleged assault happened in Giralang last Friday (4 October).

Between 8:15 pm and 8:45 pm, police say a group of young people tried to enter a house party they were not invited to and an altercation occurred soon after. A 19-year-old man was allegedly assaulted by several people.

The video appears to show people kicking, pushing and punching someone until they fall to the ground.

The alleged attack continues while the person is on the ground, but he was able to stand.

Following the alleged incident, police say the 19-year-old was taken to hospital and was treated for serious facial injuries.
