The nearest Recycling Drop-off Centre can be found on Jolly Street in Belconnen. Alternate locations include Baillieu Court in Mitchell, Botany Street in Phillip and Scollay Street in Tuggeranong.

Recycling drop-off is also available at the Mitchell and Mugga Lane Resource Management

Why do they call it Macgregor?

Anyway, the tip from that location is long gone. Just down the road on Sustainability street there is a new tip. Absolute disgrace, one of the Canberra skip mobs is using a yard in Parkwood to dump their rubbish. They’ve been doing it for years and if that is not a huge environmental/fire hazzard
then I don’t know what is.
Maybe the Riotact can ask the right people how that is allowed to happen.

I agree it’s discusting worse then any tip I’ve seen

The recycling drop off centre is operational but will be closed while they resurface the forecourt

It is Macgregor possibly because it is in the suburb of Macgregor. Now whilst google maps may show different Macgregor goes to the border and includes the West Belconnen Industual estate and the old tip site.

There hasn’t been a tip at West Belconnen for a number of years. A place to drop off cardboard and other recyclables which is what is at the site in Macgregor is far from a tip.
