This one’s come across my desk and is sure to excite some of you:

What is What’s it Worth?

What’s it Worth (WIW) is based on the Antique Road Show Concept where people can bring in items have them appraised by an expert and learn a little more about the item and its approximate value. It is an Annual event (this is its 3rd year) and it is held at the Albert Hall.

Just about every home contains hidden treasures. Whether they be family heirlooms passed on through the generations, a painting, old coins or a stamp collection, or perhaps something that was purchased overseas. Whatever the item we’d be pleased to give you an idea of its monetary worth.

This year it is on Sunday April 10 from 10am to 4pm. (As part of ACT Heritage Week)

Who runs ‘What’s it Worth?

WIW is run by the Rotary Club of Canberra, in partnership with the National Trust. Rotary and the National Trust use their networks to secure local and interstate experts covering a wide range fields.

What sort of items will be covered this year?

Our expert panel has almost doubled from previous years.

Jewellery, Gems, Coins and Notes, Stamps, Ceramics, Needlework and Embroidery, Porcelain, Glass, Antiques, Art, Silver and other Metalwork, Clothing, Maps, Books, Toys and a whole lot more! If you can carry it, we’ll try and value it!

How much?

$5 entry then $5 per item. Funds raised go towards Rotary projects and National Trust heritage activities.
