The Legislative Assembly is abuzz with gossip that the Liberals’ Jeremy Hanson has had to apologise to the Greens’ Meredith Hunter for suggesting “Your priorities are up your a*se”.
Colonel Hanson says he was feeling emotional about not being able to pay sufficient tribute to dead soldiers in Afghanistan.
You can have a look at the awkward apology on the Daily On Demand website. Sadly the original comments have not been recorded.
UPDATE: Meanwhile Alistair Coe is having a good gloat after forcing Joy Burch to apologise for telling the Assembly an aged care facility in Macquarie was built when it was in fact under construction.
