Whereabouts of the Wood Slab guy

I thought it was bit of a strange thing to be selling by the roadside, given that it’s not really a product you can normally chuck straight in the back of your car and drive off. He’s been on Sulwood Drive most days for the last couple of months, not sure if he stays there all day, but normally there in the mornings.

He’s back in Canberra and located at the bottom of Bindubi Street in Cook until Sunday.

Exactly what are wood slabs? Dressed timber, off-cuts, the raw product, and in what sort of sizes?

He was on Sulwood Drive at Kambah this morning, on the dirt within view of the roundabout at Athllon, where the fruit/flower sellers usually set up.

I drove past at about 7.20am and had a good old rubberneck because it wasn’t something i had seen sold on the side of the road before!

Yes he told me that he was hit by the big storm then, and one big slab was blown 20m away!

he had some very fine pieces of rosewood – need to remember to see him after we move house.

Yeah i thought he went to hall markets too but he wasnt out there this month
