Woolworths Calwell recalls bread over possible glass contamination

Woolworths is recalling all in-store made bread sold in Woolworths Calwell on Wednesday, 4 November due to the possible presence of glass.

The recall relates to both loaves and rolls and consumers are advised not to consume the products.

A Woolworths spokesperson said consumers should return the product to Woolworths Calwell ACT for a full refund. Any customers concerned about their health should seek medical advice.

She said the recall was precautionary in nature and that the customer who had raised the alarm had not suffered any injury.

“Woolworths takes product safety seriously and apologises for the inconvenience caused by this recall,” a spokesperson said.

“Customers can call the toll-free customer service number for more information on 1800 103 515.”
