A 35-year-old man has drowned while swimming at Casuarina Sands on Thursday afternoon.
Police divers searched the water after reports that a swimmer was missing, and located the man’s body in the river.
ACT Policing will prepare a report for the Coroner, but the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
Police have reminded all Canberrans and visitors to take care when swimming and watch out for each other when in and near the water.
