Hello Rioters

I’m Dan Rayner, some of you may have bumped into me at trivia at the Durham on Tuesday nights or through the Canberra Homebrews Club or at Plonk.

Anyway, since I know many of the Rioters are big fans of homebrew and interesting craft beer I thought I’d let you know about a beer and food matching lunch I’m hosting at the Durham on Sunday 19th July.

The lunch is from 12.30pm and will showcase some Australia’s finest craft beers as well as some very interesting international beers – seven diverse styles of beers matched with a five course warming winter lunch with some discussion on beer/food matching and how to judge and appreciate beer. On top of this Kylie Little from the Little Brewing Company in Port Macquarie who make Wicked Elf beers will be coming to the lunch to talk about her brewery and beers.

It’d be great to meet some of the beer connoisseur Rioters in person on the day.

Call me or Anthony on 6260 6336 for more infomation – cheers!

Thanks very much Loosey! I’d have to say the highlight for me was the Murray’s Porter matched with the sticky-date pudding – sensational!

I hope to organise another at some stage – maybe it should be seasonal?

Thanks to you (and others) for the kinds words and support,

This was a fantastic event. Please Dan could you organise another one!!?

Absolutely lovely beers.

So lovely I had to have a lie-down shortly after I got home!!

Yay! Sounds like a decent day out!

Thanks Bloodnut!

PS – best to book in advance

i’ll see you there dan.
