A 26-year-old Sydney man has been charged with cultivating a commercial quantity of a controlled plant for sale, after ACT Police seized 260 cannabis plants from a residence in Macgregor on Tuesday morning (3 July 2018).

Around 10 am yesterday, officers from Criminal Investigations executed a search warrant at a house on Cumpston Place, Macgregor.

Officers seized 260 cannabis plants, and a large quantity of hydroponic growing equipment, and approximately 100kg of cannabis leaf.

The Sydney man will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (4 July), where police will oppose bail.

ACT Policing said they will “continue to target and disrupt the illicit production, distribution and trafficking of drugs in the ACT”.
